The Protection of God

"He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler" (Psalm 91:4).

So many things are happening in the body of Christ these days. Sometimes its difficult to believe what we're hearing. Yet we know that as the endtime draws near, we are to expect calamity, devastation, uprisings within families, spiritual warfare and an increase of false prophets, teachers and doctrines. God's word lets us know that these things will come upon us. Therefore, we should not be shocked at the hearing or seeing of them.  yet, we are. Our human nature often succombs to the shock and surprise of them.

This morning, I share a word of encouragement with you to let you know that even though trouble is happening all around us, and even within our own bodies...sickness may have come...God is our Protector. Paslm 91 is a wonderful reminder of his protection and love for those who choose to believe in him...those who choose to stand under the shadow of his wings of protection.

God is our Protector, and he's dispatched a host of angels to protect our soul from the enemies' reach. Even if our bodies experience the natural course of age and deterioration (as the body is merely flesh that is destined to return to dust), God gives us strength and comfort and joy to endure the process. And he keeps our soul in tack for that great day of spiritual resurrection.

I encourage you to trust God is everything you are currently confronted with. Every affliction is under the Blood of Jesus. Every mental, emotional, and physical condition is under the Blood of Jesus. Our Lord shed his blood for the healing of nations. We are the nation of believeres that he came to same, love and heal. So be the name of Jesus. Be the name of Jesus. Be the name of Jesus.

Let ' keep a prayerful heart for the members of the body of Christ that are enduring afflictions in their body. A few saints have shared with me their issues and prayer requests. Please extend yourself just a little while and pray for them...and anyone else that comes to mind.  Pray that God will strengthen them and their families as they endure.  We know that all things are working gotether for the good of them who love the lord and are called according to his purpose. However, we sometimes get discouraged waiting to see the GOOD that will come out of a bad situation, especially when it comes to our health and well being. But I believe God will do exactly what he says he will do. He will keep us...he will heal us...and he will protect us. Do you believe?

Lord we come before your presence with humble thanksgiving. We honor you, and we love you. Our hearts go out today for the many brothers and sisters who are enduring afflictions in their body. Some don't understand why, and are having a hard time believing in you. some have been moved to anger because they don't understand why these afflictions have come upon them. Though we don't have the answers, you do. We know that you are working something out within them, but we don't know what. So Lord, if you would, please give them peace of mind in the process, and help them to understand that your ways are not like ours; your wisdom supercedes our own, and your grace, merc and compassion is eternal.

Help them to be strong as they endure treatment, or get the doctor's report. Help them to keep the faith and not give up hope, or trust in you. We pray for their strength in spirit, and that you cover them with your wings of protection so that the enemy will not deceive them and attempt to steal their soul, their faith and their joy. We pray for a rally of spiritual support that exemplifies human love, and the love you have for your people. We pray for divine healing, if it be thy will, for your name same sake and your honor and glory. And in all things, we pray your divine will be the name of Jesus. Amen.

International Prayer

Posted by revmichele on April 22, 2009 at 10:54 PM Comments comments (0)

I received an e-mail from a Christian teacher in Nigeria requesting assistance with obtaining giant print bibles. His note touched my heart, and I began to think about the compassion of the Father. The request was simply to send two giant print bibles for an elderly couple. He stated that there are other elderly members who would also benefit from the large print.

Immediately, I responded that I would pray (as he asked) to hear God's will concerning this matter. That's when it came to me to institute the International Prayer Day  to intercede for ministries in remote parts of the world who are struggling to obtain resources to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Thursdays are now International Prayer Day for the Comfort and Joy Online Prayer Ministry. Won't you take a few minutes each Thursday to intercede for such ministries as the one I've described above. Begin with this simple prayer and add to it whatever comes to your spirit.

Father God, I thank you for the many ministries in remote parts of the world that are committed to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Please bless them with the resources they need. Touch the hearts of the people you will use to bless these ministries with gifts of bibles, teaching materials, music and various other resources. Lord, please send your ministering angles to the people in _____________________________. Strengthen the pastors, teachers and leaders as they share the Gospel. (Please continue this prayer.)

Father I praise you for what you're going to do for the ministries in _________________. I believe your word and believe that you will provide for all of their ministry needs.  Thank you, Lord for what you're doing and are about to do for your people in _____________________. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Prayer Requests

Good morning, and God bless you.

This has been some week. I've been busier than ever, and I'm sure you have been too.

I've received several prayer requests, and I'd like to share a few with you.

A young lady at New Hope who had a brain tumor removed.

A young couple who's preparing for marriage.

A sister in Christ who's employment status needs an up lift.

Prayers have gone up to the Father for these specific situations, and others. I'b believing God for answers that will come right on time. He's the God that heals. Healing takes place in every aspect of our lives including physical, mental, financial and emotional issues. Trust that the Lord will heal every situation you're going through.  And though you might not see the miracle right away, just trust and believe you are healed. In time (God's time), you will see, feel and experience your healing and know that it's the Lord who healed you.

Stay encouraged! The Lord loves you and want only the best for you.

If you have prayer requests, please send the to   Together, our prayers will make a difference.

God bless and have a great day.

Sunday Morning

Posted by revmichele on March 15, 2009 at 10:47 AM Comments comments (0)

Good morning everyone,

This is the day that the Lord has made. We shall rejoice and be glad in it..

My prayer this morning is simply that the Lord will give you peace of mind.

With the economic crisis in full bloom, the news has reported that more people are attending church, yet the churches are falling short in the offerings.  Make no mistake about it, even the church is feeling the financial crunch -- baciscally because the members who give are feeling the crunch.

Yet, I know that God is the giver of all our wealth and blessings. I know that He provides for His people. I know that regardless of how the numbers look, the Lord will not allow His people to suffer to the point of no return.  The Church of the Living God thrives because of the spirit that dwells within.

If you're a pastor or missionary or evangelist who's depending on the genorosity of the people in order to keep the doors of the church open, trust and believe God for who He is and what He does. Have peace of mind that the Lord has already prepared for the "low times" and will pour out His abundance.

If you're a Believer who's wondering how long, Lord, how long, know that He knows the time and what He's going to do to bless His people during the crisis. He's already set provisions for you. Just look to the hills from wence cometh your help. Your help comes from the Lord. Look to the Father, not the government. If He choses to bless through the officials, then Amen, but it's not by their hands. It's by the Lord's divine will.

Have peace this morning that the God who knows all things knows what you need. Consider that He may only be waiting for you to ask. Ask and you shall receive.  He's waiting for you to acknowledge Him in all of your ways, and not lean on your own understanding.

This morning, I speak the peace of God that surpasses all of our understanding into your financial situation. Be at peace with how the Lord is working it out for you. Be at peace with the knowledge that His divine will is perfect, and He will perfect the things concerning you.

"Father we bless you who you are. We praise you for your loving kindness and long suffering. We adore you, Lord, and honor you. Thank you for your provisions during this economic crisis. Thank you directing our govenrment officials on how to manage the nation's finances. Thank you for including me in your plans for financial recovery.  All glory and honor belongs to you. Amen"

May the Grace of God be with you as you embrace God's peace.

Grant your people favor so that those seeking employment will find exactly what they're looking for, and those in need of a little extra will find ways to preserve what they have until such time that the window of heaven opens wide and poor out your blessings  in abundance.

Teach us to be good stewards of what we have, and how to share the blessings according to your will.

Father, we pray for the members and visitors of Comfort and Joy Online Prayer Ministry. Please send a special blessing to these prayer worriers and guests.  Perform miracles in their lives and give them a testimony to your glory.

We pray for our sisters and brothers in Ghana. Bless Prophetess Linda and the work you have put to her hands. Bring healing to the nation!

Prayer and Action

Posted by revmichele on January 23, 2009 at 9:22 PM Comments comments (0)

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping in today.

I'm praising God for the prayer requests that have come in so far, and how God is answering these prayers. I give Him all the glory for His  immediate response to your prayers.

Keep in mind that faith requires action. Waiting on God is one thing, but doing the things we are able and capable of doing while we're waiting is something all together different. There are times when the Lord requires us to wait on his devine healing, or answer to our prayers. Then there are other times when we have to do something while we're waiting.  You know that saying...the job's not coming to you, you have to go out and get it. Now the Lord may bless you with favor so that when you get there, the job is yours. But you have to go out there and interview .

Sometimes, our healing is the same way. God may chose to grant you an instant divine healing and show you a miracle. Or he may chose to grant you healing through a process wherein you are required to put forth action.  The classic "get up and walk" healing required that the man "get up and walk." Imagine if Jesus said, "sit there." How would the man know he was healed? He wouldn't. He'd just sit there wondering...can I walk?

So as you continue in your prayers, turn them over to Jesus, and then get up and walk. Put some action into it. Faith without works (action) is stagnation. We are a people of action!

Praise the Lord.  :D

Welcome to Comfort and Joy Online Prayer Ministry (a division of Comfort  and Joy Ministries). I am your Host, Rev. Michele Jackson Taylor.

This site is all about Prayer. You are welcome to Blog your prayers, request prayer and give words of encouragement.

I'm a witness that prayer changes things. My life took a turn for the better because of prayer. When I knew nothing about Christ or what it means to pray, someone prayed for me. Those prayers kept me until I learned how to pray for myself.  Then I learned how to pray for others.

My prayere for you is that you find peace, comfort and joy through Christ who gives us strength to go on from day to day.

Lord, we give you thanks for our lives and our well being. In times of distress, you help us. In times of loneliness, you stand with us. In times of celebration, you command the heavens to rejoice. Our hearts are grateful.

Father, I ask you to bring salvation to those who have not yet come to know you. Introduce yourself through your people, through the elements, by your spirit. Change the hardened heart and unwilling mind to accept your grace. May the redeemed of the Lord speak out in earnest prayer so that someone will be saved today.

We love you, Father, and bless your holy name. Amen
