Prayer for Rev. Calvin Hunt

Dear Lord,

You are our Heavenly Father in whom we trust. You are the God that heals.

Father, we look to you today for healing. Send your healing virtue to Rev. Hunt. Touch his body with your hand of healing, and if it be thy will perform a miracle and disolve the growth.

However, Lord, if you choose to send healing through the skilled hands of a surgeon,  I pray that every trace of the growth be removed. Let him have a rapid and thorough recovery.

Father, we trust you and know that you do all things well. So we praise you and glorify you right now. We lift our brother up before you and praise you for what you have already done and are about to do. Thank you for encouraging him through your Word and through the support of friends and family. We speak victory in the name of Jesus and anticipate the praise report. Thank you Jesus. Hallelujah and Amen.

International Prayer

I received an e-mail from a Christian teacher in Nigeria requesting assistance with obtaining giant print bibles. His note touched my heart, and I began to think about the compassion of the Father. The request was simply to send two giant print bibles for an elderly couple. He stated that there are other elderly members who would also benefit from the large print.

Immediately, I responded that I would pray (as he asked) to hear God's will concerning this matter. That's when it came to me to institute the International Prayer Day  to intercede for ministries in remote parts of the world who are struggling to obtain resources to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Thursdays are now International Prayer Day for the Comfort and Joy Online Prayer Ministry. Won't you take a few minutes each Thursday to intercede for such ministries as the one I've described above. Begin with this simple prayer and add to it whatever comes to your spirit.

Father God, I thank you for the many ministries in remote parts of the world that are committed to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Please bless them with the resources they need. Touch the hearts of the people you will use to bless these ministries with gifts of bibles, teaching materials, music and various other resources. Lord, please send your ministering angles to the people in _____________________________. Strengthen the pastors, teachers and leaders as they share the Gospel. (Please continue this prayer.)

Father I praise you for what you're going to do for the ministries in _________________. I believe your word and believe that you will provide for all of their ministry needs.  Thank you, Lord for what you're doing and are about to do for your people in _____________________. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Prayer Requests

Good morning, and God bless you.

This has been some week. I've been busier than ever, and I'm sure you have been too.

I've received several prayer requests, and I'd like to share a few with you.

A young lady at New Hope who had a brain tumor removed.

A young couple who's preparing for marriage.

A sister in Christ who's employment status needs an up lift.

Prayers have gone up to the Father for these specific situations, and others. I'b believing God for answers that will come right on time. He's the God that heals. Healing takes place in every aspect of our lives including physical, mental, financial and emotional issues. Trust that the Lord will heal every situation you're going through.  And though you might not see the miracle right away, just trust and believe you are healed. In time (God's time), you will see, feel and experience your healing and know that it's the Lord who healed you.

Stay encouraged! The Lord loves you and want only the best for you.

If you have prayer requests, please send the to revmichele@hotmail.com.   Together, our prayers will make a difference.

God bless and have a great day.

Sunday Morning

Posted by revmichele on March 15, 2009 at 10:47 AM Comments comments (0)

Good morning everyone,

This is the day that the Lord has made. We shall rejoice and be glad in it..

My prayer this morning is simply that the Lord will give you peace of mind.

With the economic crisis in full bloom, the news has reported that more people are attending church, yet the churches are falling short in the offerings.  Make no mistake about it, even the church is feeling the financial crunch -- baciscally because the members who give are feeling the crunch.

Yet, I know that God is the giver of all our wealth and blessings. I know that He provides for His people. I know that regardless of how the numbers look, the Lord will not allow His people to suffer to the point of no return.  The Church of the Living God thrives because of the spirit that dwells within.

If you're a pastor or missionary or evangelist who's depending on the genorosity of the people in order to keep the doors of the church open, trust and believe God for who He is and what He does. Have peace of mind that the Lord has already prepared for the "low times" and will pour out His abundance.

If you're a Believer who's wondering how long, Lord, how long, know that He knows the time and what He's going to do to bless His people during the crisis. He's already set provisions for you. Just look to the hills from wence cometh your help. Your help comes from the Lord. Look to the Father, not the government. If He choses to bless through the officials, then Amen, but it's not by their hands. It's by the Lord's divine will.

Have peace this morning that the God who knows all things knows what you need. Consider that He may only be waiting for you to ask. Ask and you shall receive.  He's waiting for you to acknowledge Him in all of your ways, and not lean on your own understanding.

This morning, I speak the peace of God that surpasses all of our understanding into your financial situation. Be at peace with how the Lord is working it out for you. Be at peace with the knowledge that His divine will is perfect, and He will perfect the things concerning you.

"Father we bless you who you are. We praise you for your loving kindness and long suffering. We adore you, Lord, and honor you. Thank you for your provisions during this economic crisis. Thank you directing our govenrment officials on how to manage the nation's finances. Thank you for including me in your plans for financial recovery.  All glory and honor belongs to you. Amen"

May the Grace of God be with you as you embrace God's peace.

Father God, in the name of your son Jesus; our savior, healer and redeemer, we stand in your presence to honor and adore you. We love you, Father. All praises to your name. In our humility, we bow before you with repentent hearts, sober minds and willing spirits.

Forgive us of ours sins, and help us to overcome our short-comings. In you, we have our total being. Without you, we are lost. Through you, we can do all things to glorify the Father.

Lord, we present ourselves to you. Have your way in our lives. Teach us through your Word. Show us the path you've chosen for us, and help us to walk steady towards our destiny.

We know that you are a provider, and everything we need is available to us. We know that in these difficult economic times, you will prove yourself in our lives. We know you love us and will never leave or forsake us. We're depending on you, Lord, and know that you'll see us through hard times.

Grant your people favor so that those seeking employment will find exactly what they're looking for, and those in need of a little extra will find ways to preserve what they have until such time that the window of heaven opens wide and poor out your blessings  in abundance.

Teach us to be good stewards of what we have, and how to share the blessings according to your will.

Father, we pray for the members and visitors of Comfort and Joy Online Prayer Ministry. Please send a special blessing to these prayer worriers and guests.  Perform miracles in their lives and give them a testimony to your glory.

We pray for our sisters and brothers in Ghana. Bless Prophetess Linda and the work you have put to her hands. Bring healing to the nation!

We continue to lift up Susan K., Mike K., John C., Marilyn H., Rev. Sam W, Coach Kim, Rev. Prayer and Action

Posted by revmichele on January 23, 2009 at 9:22 PM Comments comments (0)

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping in today.

I'm praising God for the prayer requests that have come in so far, and how God is answering these prayers. I give Him all the glory for His  immediate response to your prayers.

Keep in mind that faith requires action. Waiting on God is one thing, but doing the things we are able and capable of doing while we're waiting is something all together different. There are times when the Lord requires us to wait on his devine healing, or answer to our prayers. Then there are other times when we have to do something while we're waiting.  You know that saying...the job's not coming to you, you have to go out and get it. Now the Lord may bless you with favor so that when you get there, the job is yours. But you have to go out there and interview .

Sometimes, our healing is the same way. God may chose to grant you an instant divine healing and show you a miracle. Or he may chose to grant you healing through a process wherein you are required to put forth action.  The classic "get up and walk" healing required that the man "get up and walk." Imagine if Jesus said, "sit there." How would the man know he was healed? He wouldn't. He'd just sit there wondering...can I walk?

So as you continue in your prayers, turn them over to Jesus, and then get up and walk. Put some action into it. Faith without works (action) is stagnation. We are a people of action!

Let's Pray

This is a wonderful poem submitted by my cousin, Samuel T. Watkins, Jr.  I know you will enjoy it.  After reading it, please take time to PRAY...as each line suggests. What a blessing!

LET'S PRAY

There's no place or time that we cannot pray, for we can pour out our hearts to the Lord anytime or anyplace; so let's Pray!

Let's pray; when troubles call on you, you call on God. He is my refuge in the day of my trouble. (Psalm 59:16)

When you feel tension mounting throughout a busy day and gloomy clouds start to hover and you begin to worry; Pray!

Let's pray for our World Leaders, because their words can change the world in which we live and work. Uncaring words can lead a society to be in constant turmoil and diminish the human spirit.

Let's pray for our Communities. A caring word can give us the encouragement to thrive in the workplace, and create an atmosphere of harmony that shapes the space around us. Prayers can also provide a sense of comfort to those who are misjudged, misguided and misunderstood.

Let's pray for our Children and every family member within their household, that they will be nourished physically, mentally, and spiritually to become the people that God is calling us to become. Words have the strength to create or destroy experiences. How a person speaks to one another can color the experiences that our children are exposed to and affect their growth as they mature into adults. This can be a costly price to pay for missed opportunities and broken relationships.

I pray, so that I may be uplifted, that I may have words of encouragement for others to embrace.

Let's pray, because our salvation and total existence depends upon it. The Holy Spirit is the Christian's source of power and an honest talk with God is the first step in finding peace of mind!
