For Christ I live, and Christ I die.
When I think about the fact that it's because Christ died that I live, I'm reminded that it's for Christ that I must die. Not physically, but to my flesh, to my old ways of thinking, to my pre-conceived notions, to my insecurities, to my fears and to my unhealathy habits.
If I am to live in Christ as he lives in me, then I must live holy.
During this season of remembrance of Christ's death, burial, resurrection and ascention, let us renew our commitment to die to sin, daily, burry the guilt and shame of comes along with it, rise up and accept the challenge of holy living and ascend into the realm of victory.
Father God, we praise and bless you. You gave us your son so that we could have everlasting life; and, your son gave his life to redeem us. We're so grateful that you love us so much.
Today, we surrender ourselves to you; some of us for the first time, and others, again. We commit ourselves to a life of holiness because you called us to be holiness. We commit ourselves to die to self, and to live for you.
Thank you, Lord. We love you so much. Thank you!
This season, we will be renewed in you.
